There are 2 semesters in every educational year in Ukraine
The autumn semester begins on the 1st of September but the first-year students arrive and get admitted to the university throughout the month of September. The university keeps the admission procedure open until the last week of October. Once the student gets admitted, he/she is sorted into their respective groups and they can then begin their classes.
The spring semester starts on the 1st of February and the procedure is open for the whole month. The semester completes the last week of May and the examinations are conducted in the month of June. Usually, till mid-June, the examinations are over.
Summer vacations are held between 1 July to 31 August.
However, not all universities start their courses bi-annually. In most of the universities, the student intake and admission occurs in the month of September and October.
