The Pediatrics Faculty, Altai State Medical University was established in 1966.

The Faculty of Medicine and Preventive Studies is responsible for the development of the institute of epidemiologists and resolve staffing of the sanitary service.

The Faculty of Foreign Students is the most recent one opened in the year 2016 to encourage bilingual training among international students.

For admission to Altai State Medical University, Russia there is a 9 months preparatory course in foreign language, chemistry and biology. Students who opt for the preparatory course are trained by experienced university faculty.

Altai State Medical University has 4 modern well-furnished and well-ventilated dormitories where students can live during the preparatory and medical courses as well. However, completing the documentation process and clearing hostel fees is a must in order to live in the hostel.
