To become a doctor in India, students have to write the National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET), which qualifies them to enter top government and private medical colleges that offer a 5-year MBBS degree programme.
Unfortunately, it is not as easy as it sounds. The NEET examination is considered one of the toughest entrance exams in the country. Students normally take more than a year, to diligently prepare for this exam that consists of questions from the subjects Physics, Chemistry and Biology. In 2018, 13 million students appeared for the examination, but only 6 million were able to clear it!
And what happens if you qualify?
Well, unless you’ve scored a government seat, you’ll have to pay exorbitant amounts to enter private medical colleges in India. Not all students can afford to do so.
Luckily, there is a perfect alternative for aspiring doctors to pursue their medical dreams in reputed colleges, for a low-cost.
